While working selling advertising, we noticed that many small businesses were great at promoting their business outside their four walls but did not promote the business to their existing client base. This seemed strange as this was a captive audience already enjoying their service. Promoting the business to these individuals only seemed natural. When asked why these existing clients were being overlooked and why the business did not have a rolling video on their existing screens promoting the business to the clients already sitting there, the reply was overwhelmingly “we cannot afford a system like that”.
